Fade Street is at the heart of Dublin and The Market Bar
is the heart of Fade Street. This heart has been beating for
more than 300 years, during which the inns, coffee houses, restaurants
and pubs of the area have extended hospitality to generations of merchants,
trades people, students, artists and visitors to Dublin’s Fair City.
The Black Market is a
unique cocktail bar located upstairs from
The Market Bar and perfect for events
of all sizes
The Market Bar is the home of the first baby bottles. In 1889 Powers Whiskey bottled their ‘The Baby Powers’ here and exported them all over the world.
Lovely restaurant This restaurant's ambience and food reminded me of my trip to Spain! You wouldn't think that the restaurant would be as big as it is when you come in the doors through a tunnel. Restaurant is quite spacious. Great selection of foods. Customer service could have been better by advising us what's included in the menu options as I ended up ordering two dishes with potatoes. It also could've been better by checking on us while eating to ensure everything was good given it wasn't that busy tonight.
Fantastic food! It was a brilliant atmosphere and the venue itself is so nicely designed. The tapas were very tasty and plentiful
Interesting Enjoyed visit to the market bar for Sunday lunchtime tapas.
Good service. Tasty food which was good value for money. Nice welcoming setting, which was warm and comfortable. What’s not to like.
Will definitely return.
